Arturo O'Farrill in The Greene Space

Pianist, composer and political activist Arturo O’Farrill is a multiple Grammy winner and the guiding force behind the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra here in New York. He has also spent the first part of this year as the Artist-In-Residence at The Greene Space, NYPR’s ground floor performance studio. That residency culminates in a world premiere tonight with the orchestra – expect a rich blend of Cuban rhythms, jazzy ensemble playing, Chamber music elegance, and a palpable sense of fun. Arturo O’Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra play Arturo’s new piece Wed. night, April 24, to wrap up his residency at The Greene Space.
