Sundance Film Festival kicks off this week and 80% of the offerings are on demand and accessible to those of us not in Utah. Director of programming Kim Yutani joins to share some of the festival's highlights. Sundance Film Festival runs through January 29.
Each year, the Jewish Museum and Film at Lincoln Center hosts the New York Jewish Film Festival (NYJFF), presenting documentary, narrative, and short films from around the world that explore the Jewish experience. NYJFF director Aviva Weintraub joins us to talk about the slate they have planned for the 32nd annual festival running through Monday, January 23.
25 years ago, on January 27, the band then known as the Dixie Chicks released their major label debut, Wide Open Spaces. Author and music historian Marissa R. Moss joins us to discuss the legacy of the album and the pioneering trio for our 1998 album anniversaries series, Silver Liner Notes.

The new play, "The Collaboration." explores the complicated relationship between these two polar-opposite geniuses, with Paul Bettany playing Warhol and Jeremy Pope playing Basquiat. The actors join us to discuss. "The Collaboration" is running at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre through February 11.
