New Yorkers Back in the Office, Remembering Angela Lansbury, Full Bio Day Three, Abigail DeVille at the Bronx Museum of the Arts

All Of It with Alison Stewart | Oct 11, 2022

Many New Yorkers have started heading back to the office, at least a few days a week. How are companies handling a return to the office? And what do workers have to say about the experience? Plus, what could this period of transition mean for the future of office culture? New York Times reporter Emma Goldberg and Rani Molla, senior correspondent for Vox's Recode, join us to discuss and take calls from listeners.

We remember the late Angela Lansbury, who died yesterday at the age of 96, with WNYC's David Gebel. Plus, we take your calls with your memories of Lansbury.

In our final installment of Full Bio, we discuss the personal life of Jim Thorpe-- his marriages, struggles with addiction, and death, along with the disturbing story of how he was laid to rest. David Maraniss, author of the new book, Path Lit By Lightning: The Life of Jim Thorpe, joins us to discuss.

A new exhibition at the Bronx Museum of the Arts celebrates the work of Abigail DeVille, a Bronx-based artist who uses found materials on the streets as part of her creations, to reflect the history and struggles of generations of people of color. On view will be several of DeVille's paintings, sculptures, and multi-media installations. DeVille and director of Curatorial Programs Eileen Jeng Lynch are with us to preview the exhibition. Abigail DeVille: Bronx Heavens, is on view until April 9.
