Broadway Round-Up, Lilly Hiatt, Susan Orlean, Atlas Obscura Food Guide

All Of It with Alison Stewart | Oct 15, 2021

It's a big month for Broadway. WNYC culture editor Jennifer Vanasco drops by with a roundup of all the shows opening and reopening.

Lilly Hiatt had planned a tour for right after the release of her last album, Walking Proof, which came out March 27, 2020. But when COVID shutdowns made that impossible, she ended up writing new music instead. Now, she’s releasing her new album, Lately, out today. Hiatt joins us for a release day Listening Party and shares a special performance.

Beloved nature writer and New Yorker staff writer Susan Orlean joins us to discuss her new collection of essays, On Animals. We are highlighting this book as part of our series featuring Fall books every Friday of October.

Writer Cecily Wong joins us to discuss Atlas Obscura's new book, Gastro Obscura: A Food Adventurer's Guide, which she co-authored with Dylan Thuras. The book explores what people eat and drink across all seven continents.
