David Pogue on Climate Change, A Debut Horror Film, Music Month Extended Play, Ani DiFranco, Winter Cocktail Recipes

All Of It with Alison Stewart | Jan 29, 2021

CBS “Sunday Morning” science and technology correspondent David Pogue joins us to talk about his new book, How to Prepare for Climate Change: A Practical Guide to Surviving the Chaos, a practical guide for how to adapt to our changing environment.

A terrifying new film imagines what happens when faith is taken to the extreme. Writer and director Rose Glass joins us to discuss her debut film “Saint Maud,” which tells the story of a hospice nurse who becomes obsessed with turning her patient into a believer. The film premieres on January 29th in select theatres and drive-ins, and will be available on Epix starting February 12th.

New York City's Music Month is usually in June and features the city's musicians, industry insiders, and opportunities to reach fans. But with the City's artists struggling during the pandemic, the 2021 edition will be six months long. Commissioner of the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment Anne del Castillo gives us a preview of Music Month Extended Play, which continues through the end of June.

Ani DiFranco recorded Revolutionary Love, her 22nd studio album and first since publishing her memoir, mainly over the course of just two days. On the album’s release day, she joins us for a Listening Party.

Now that we are in the dead of winter on top of a pandemic, friend of the show and mixologist Ivy Mix returns to kick off the weekend with some suggestions for cold weather cocktails—from hot toddies to Irish coffee—and we’ll take listener calls.
