Basquiat's 60th Birthday, Greatest Actors of the Century, A.I. and Bias, 'Pappyland'

Curator Chaédria LaBouvier and writer, curator, and musician Greg Tate join us on Jean-Michel Basquiat’s 60th birthday to discuss his influence on art history and music. LaBouvier was the first Black curator to curate a show at the Guggenheim with the 2019 show, Basquiat’s “Defacement”: The Untold Story, and Tate is the co-curator along with Liz Munsell of Writing the Future: Basquiat and the Hip-Hop Generation, on now at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

New York bureau chief at Bloomberg Business, Shelly Banjo, joins us to talk about her reporting on what this means for Google and the future of artificial intelligence in big tech.
