Two Veterans Confront the Moral Injury of War in a 2,700 Mile Trek
The Leonard Lopate Show | Jun 6, 2016
Iraq War veterans Tom Voss and Anthony Anderson were still haunted by their combat experiences years after they returned home to their families. In the new documentary “Almost Sunrise,” director Michael Collins tells the story of their 2,700 mile walk from Wisconsin to California. They walked in an effort to heal from the horror and guilt they experienced, and to bring awareness to veteran suicides.
Events: "Almost Sunrise" will be screened at the Human Rights Watch Film Festival on June 11th and 13th. For a complete list of events, see the listings below, or visit the Festival's website.
