Adolph Green, Legendary Writer and Lyricist, at 100!

Adam Green talks about the centennial of his father, legendary writer and lyricist Adolph Green (1914-2002) – who with Betty Comden co-authored such smash hits such as On the Town, Singin’ in the Rain, and It’s Always Fair Weather – will be celebrated at Film Forum with a special screening of Vincente Minnelli’s The Band Wagon (1953), on Monday, December 1 at 8:10. Green is Vogue magazine’s theater critic and a regular contributor to The New Yorker, and he will be introducing the screening. He is currently at work on his first book, a memoir of his father.
