In 2007, Basia Bulat was warmly received by folk and indie music fans alike for her debut album Oh, My Darling. Now, the blonde-as-can-be singer and multi-instrumentalist returns with Heart of My Own, an album inspired by Bulat’s many travels playing across North America. Bulat comes from the great Northern nation of Canada, and records her music nearly on her own by overdubbing guitar, autoharp, banjo, ukelele, sax and flute. Her “Go On” is a folky, minor-key affair which draws strength from its rough edges.
