The psychedelic synth-punk of Dinowalrus gets a dreamy, extraterrestrial makeover on its latest single, "Phone Home." It may have something to do with the group's new found, pop-oriented approach to songwriting, and the addition of its bass and synth manipulator, Liam Andrew, in 2010.

Former Titus Andronicus guitarist Pete Feigenbaum started Dinowalrus two years ago and has garnered support not only from fans, but also from other bands. For tonight's show at The Rock Shop, former Parts & Labor drummer, Chris Weingarten, is filling in until the band’s new drummer, Anton Hochheim from the Depreciation Guild, returns to his seat behind the kit in October.
