Shining a Light on Congressman Rangel's Records

WNYC News | Jul 13, 2010

Congressman Charlie Rangel and his taxes are in the news again.

A new report from the nonpartisan Sunlight Foundation finds Rangel had at least 28 omissions in his taxes over the past 30 years. It also found that assets would appear or disappear from year to year with no disclosure of when they were acquired, how long they were held, or when they were sold. Bill Allison is one of the authors of today's report and he joined WNYC's Richard Hake this morning for a conversation about his findings.
