Bob Holman: Master of all things poetry

WNYC News | Jul 12, 2010

Poetry Czar, Dean of the Scene—Bob Holman has been dubbed with more poet titles than he can count on one hand. The award-winning, prolific re-creator of poetry already brought together all kinds of famed poets and personalities for the anthology United States of Poetry. Now he’s working on the World of Poetry, the first digital poetry anthology. Holman’s last collection of poems, A Couple of Ways of Doing Something, from 2003, features twenty poems for artists accompanied by daguerreotypes from the photographer Chuck Close. Holman produced six seasons of poetry spots for WNYC-TV, winning three Emmys in the process.
