New Site Shows Illnesses by ZIP Code

A new website allows New Yorkers to find out which commonly preventable illnesses are more likely to occur in their own neighborhood -- and whether racial disparity plays a role in prevention.

The state Department of Health created the tool, which allows state residents to check whether such conditions as diabetes, high blood pressure and asthma are predominant in their zip code.
