Bruno Still Waiting for Verdict

Jurors still haven't come to a verdict in former New York senate leader Joseph Bruno's corruption trial.

REPORTER: The jury heard a readback of testimony Friday from one of Bruno's Senate staff attorneys who had drafted a contract for one of his sideline businesses. Leaving the courthouse, Bruno told reporters he thought the testimony made it obvious that he kept his lawyers in the loop, and followed the rules.

BRUNO: As a businessperson, I had a right as a part time legislator to conduct business. That was no secret, I talked about, I spoke about it. It was on all of my financial statements.

REPORTER: Bruno's accused of concealing his private business dealings. Deliberations will continue Monday morning.
