Lilian Supove describes the happenings for the weekend, including a national rodeo, several opera productions, including a production of Madame Butterfly featuring Camilla Williams. Also, Supove lists movies currently playing at cinemas around the city.

Supove interviews author, critic and former WQXR host Irving Deakin, one of the nation's leading experts on the ballet. They discuss the arrival by ship of the Ballets Russes who will be performing at the Metropolitan Opera. Apparently, the dancers practiced aboard the boat as they crossed the ocean. Supove and Deakin discuss many of the ballets that are planned for the season.
