The guitar easily finds a home in classical, jazz, blues, bluegrass, rock, country, and any number of international styles. That versatility is the very point of this episode of New Sounds. Featured performers include Kaki King (pictured), the 23-year-old guitarist whose debut CD, Everybody Loves You, features musical influences running the gamut from folk to funk to rock to jazz; Baka Beyond, the unusual band inspired by the music of the Baka Pygmies; London-based composer Pete M. Wyer; Benjamin Verdery's ensemble UFOnia, and much more.
