But Tyler Perry’s female alter ego is a loud, pot-smoking, gun-brandishing grandmother: Madea, the character at the center of "Diary of a Mad Black Woman." Mr. Perry tells us about Don’t Make a Black Woman Take Off her Earrings, a new book he's written in character as Madea.
