The Windcatcher

The seeds for The Windcatcher were planted in a short film project which never saw completion. Originally written for flute and piano but later transcribed for saxophone quintet by Nico Muhly, The Windcatcher retains its cinematic scope on the small scale. Tonight we'll hear Muhly's version, featuring the Rascher Saxophone Quartet and Andrew Sterman.
