Refugee All Stars

Formed in a refugee camp during Sierra Leone's civil war, the Refugee All Stars ended playing on stages all over the world. Their second album, “Rise & Shine,” was recorded partly in Sierra Leone and largely in New Orleans with local musicians who shared the band's experience of displacement after Katrina. The group performs live in our studio.
