Russian violinist Viktoria Mullova made international headlines for escaping the KGB and defecting to the West in 1983. A winner of the prestigious Tchaikovsky Competition, Mullova has expanded into jazz and pop songs from the likes of Miles Davis, the Beatles, and Alanis Morissette. She joins us in the studio.

Viktoria Mullova plays the Brahms Violin Concerto with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra at Avery Fisher Hall, Friday night at 8 pm. Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts. More details
