Katia and Marielle Labeque

Soundcheck | May 3, 2010
French duo pianists Katia and Marielle Labèque became famous in the 1970s and '80s for their powerhouse performance style and taste for 20th-century works. On their latest album, "De Fuego y de Agua," they perform flamenco pieces with the Spanish singer Mayte Martín. The sisters join us to share the results, and perform live in our studio.

Katia and Marielle Labèque will perform Thursday, Sept. 25, at Carnegie Hall with the San Francisco Symphony and Michael Tilson Thomas. The show begins at 8 p.m. on the Perelman Stage.
