Listen to music by composers from Iceland, Ireland, Germany & Sweden, & California who incorporate both electronic and acoustic sounds. From Icelandic composer Thuridur Jonsdottir, hear a work for orchestra and electronics, “Flow and Fusion,” where the electronic sounds are derived from instruments in the orchestra to evoke distorted concert hall acoustics.
Then, listen to an homage to Ennio Morricone by Ireland-based Congolese guitarist Niwel Tsumbu and Irish composer/keyboardist/producer Roger Doyle, from Doyle's latest record, Homemade Ivory Dreams.
Hear lightly amplified orchestra and keyboards from John Adams in his work, “El Dorado, part 2, “Soledades” -a vision of a land without people. Listen also to music by Icelandic composer Ólafur Arnalds from the show “Broadchurch” along with a work by the masked composer and pianist Lambert.
