#3976: Recent Ambient and Atmospheric Music

Hear the latest from Ryuichi Sakamoto, "Async,"  an imaginary soundtrack for a Tarkovsky film. There's also new music in the Arabic tradition from Duo Sabîl, who are virtuoso oud player Ahmad Al Khatib and wizard-like percussionist Youssef Hbeisch. On this record, they are augmented by Hubert Dupont on double bass and Elie Khoury on buzuq, who consider life experiences as melancholic poetry. Plus, listen to music by Irish composer Benjamin Dwyer for baroque violin, harpsichord, and double bass.
