Lauren Flanigan is a soprano known for her blazingly theatrical performances, fiery singing, and her challenging repertory choices. So it's no surprise that she is one of standouts in New York City Opera's new production of Marvin David Levy's opera "Mourning Becomes Electra." Today, she joins host John Schaefer to bring us up to speed on her unconventional career. Also, composer and music commentator Robert Kapilow drops by to deconstruct Bach's great B-Minor Mass.
