What exactly is a 'wilderness residency?'

Soundcheck | May 3, 2010
Conductor Robert Bass is leading the Collegiate Chorale and tenor Vinson Cole on Hector Berlioz’s gigantic Requiem, in celebration of the bicentennial of the composer's birth. Bass and Cole drop by today, and so does Tasmanian composer and naturalist Ron Nagorcka. He uses the sounds of his forest surroundings, like water, birds, and wind, to accompany the instruments in his music.
