The Ying Quartet, a group made up of three brothers and a sister, gained national recognition in 1992 as the first recipient of the National Endowment of the Arts grant to support chamber music in rural America. They established residence in Jessup, Iowa, a farm town with a population of 2000 people, and performed music throughout the community. Now, the siblings are in New York and working on a concert series entitled "No Boundaries" at Symphony Space. Today, they perform live the WNYC studio and will talk about their past and plans for the future.
