1951 Christmas Seal Campaign, The Jascha Heifetz Show with Don Voorhees and Orchestra

The NYPR Archive Collections | Jan 1, 2000

The exact date of this episode is unknown. We've filled in the date above with a placeholder. What we actually have on record is: 1951-12-uu.

On this Christmas Seal Campaign special, Jascha Heifetz performs with Don Voorhees and Orchestra. Dick Joy hosts and interjects messages about the work of the National Tuberculosis Foundation and urges listeners to help fund these efforts by buying Christmas seals.

"Friends, it's part of our American way of life to work together, to help each other. Not because someone forces us to, but because we want to of our own free will. That's why only in a democracy could Christmas seals become a tradition."
