Marvel Comics Editor on the New Spider-Man

The Takeaway | Dec 26, 2011

In August, a brand new Spider-Man was introduced to the world: his name is Miles Morales, and he's a half-Latino, half-African-American teenager. Peter Parker, the original Spider-Man, was killed off over the summer, and Marvel creators seized the opportunity to diversify the beloved American superhero series.

The fifth issue of the new series just came out last week, so today we'll be going back to our August interview with Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Axel Alonso, who offered Takeaway listeners the inside scoop on the story behind the new Spider-Man.
