"How Long Blues" -- Jimmy Yancey, piano

"Someday He'll Make It Plain to Me" -- Paul Robeson

"Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" -- Bayard Rustin

"Oh, Had I a Golden Thread" -- Joan Baez There was a plan. The plan was that Steve was to be joined by special guest Robert Krulwich, ABC News Network Correspondent and former NPR Business and Economics Correspondent, take some listener calls, listen to a little music, and generally hope that a good time is had by all. And that is still possible, but it is increasingly improbable. More probable is that The No Show will be preempted by coverage of the war. We will all just have to wait and see. Or hear, as the case may be. Steve hopes to be here, but don't plan on it.

Be alert for scams. WNYC never asks for nor accepts money for coverage or interviews. Anyone making such a request does not represent WNYC.
