At 26, Thomas Bartlett (a.k.a. Doveman) has some of the busiest fingers in New York City — in the business of tickling the ivory, that is. He's played keyboard or piano with Brooklyn’s indie rock band The National, singer Martha Wainwright, art musician Antony Hegarty (of Antony and The Johnsons), David Byrne, Brazilian singer Bebel Gilberto and Yoko Ono, to name a few.

Bartlett grew up in the Green Mountain State of Vermont and has been playing music since age 3. After a short stint at Columbia University and some classical training in London, he ditched the academies for the various stages and bands around New York City.

As Doveman, Bartlett performs with folk singer, banjo player and childhood friend, Sam Amidon; drummer Dougie Bowne; guitarist Shahzad Ismaily and trumpeter Peter Ecklund. The track “Hurricane” features Bartlett’s whispery vocals with the instrumentation bits compliments of Aaron and Bryce Dessner and Bryan Devendorff of the National.
