Amy Eddings' Food for Thought: Monster Juicer

Features | Jun 22, 2011

I got my new juicer yesterday. It's HUGE. I must have gotten the juicer used by the U.S. Olympics Team.

It's a Breville Juice Fountain Classic. I used it this morning. It made quick work of two pears, an apple, a knob of garlic and a peeled lemon.

I made quick work of the juice.  Yum.

Here's the downside of juicing: it took three minutes to line up the fruit and grind it up. It took me one minute to drink the juice. And it took me eight minutes to clean the darn thing.

And another 20 minutes to re-arrange my cabinets and find a way to store the components. The motor will sit out on the counter, a stern sentinel of health and wellness.
