Following the breakup of the slowcore trio Galaxie 500 in 1991, band members (and married couple) Damon Krukowski and Naomi Yang formed the duo Damon & Naomi, and since then they've continued to explore gentle dream pop while also pursuing collaborations with other bands. On this track from a compilation of their recordings for the Sub Pop label, the pair glide through a quiet, pensive folk melody. In the spirit of their musical anthology, tonight's performance at 92Y Tribeca follows a screening of Damon & Naomi: 1001 Nights, a film retrospective of the couple's performances over the last decade.
