Kirk, Cairo, Chaconne

Studio 360 | Feb 10, 2011

Kurt Andersen and novelist Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, talk about dreams. We’ll lie down in Marina Abramovic’s "Dream Bed," a sculpture that lets visitors sleep in the middle of an art exhibition. We’ll hear about jazz musician Rahsaan Roland Kirk, who dreamt he could play three horns at once — and made it a reality. And we’ll hear from a collection of dreams that Nobel prize-winning author Naguib Mahfouz published in a Cairo magazine as he neared the age of 90.
