Ron Boocock, senior program manager and chess instructor, talks about Chess-in-the-Schools, a nonprofit organization dedicated to using chess to improve academic performance and self-esteem among students in New York City public schools. He’s joined by Michael Suarez and Jonathan Whyte, ninth graders at the Frederick Douglass Academy in Harlem and Chess-in-the-Schools participants.
