As Hurricane Sandy approached the east coast, WNYC prepared the only way we know how – with dedication to providing a critical community service. We stayed with you around the clock, devoting our time, energy and funds to keeping you informed. Our broadcast and engineering teams worked tirelessly, on-site and in the field. Our emergency generator went through more than eighteen hundred gallons of gas.
