Michael William Doyle

Michael William Doyle is Associate Professor of History and Director of the Public History Program at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.  He is an oral historian who teaches and researches American culture during the Vietnam War era.  Doyle is co-editor of Imagine Nation: The American Counterculture of the 1960s and ‘70s.

Professor Doyle has written articles on the historical and cultural significance of the Woodstock Festival site, and on the countercultural practice of Guerrilla Theater.

For ten years he lived on a communal farm he helped found in western Wisconsin.
