Prior to joining Freakonomics Radio, Max Miller produced independent radio documentaries while working as an urban planner

While at Cornell University, he spent a year writing a graduate thesis on parking, and he feels no shame about it. In a former life, he produced television shows on food, fashion, and travel. Max studied history and film during his undergraduate years at Bard College and values using a multi-disciplinary approach. Max enjoys recommending beer, cooking, biking, reading non-fiction, and eating strange apples that aren’t commercially viable to produce. He loves any excuse to use Excel.
