Thursday, January 24, 2013
Mare Winningham and Elizabeth Marvel talk about their roles in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s new Broadway production of William Inge’s play “Picnic.” It’s an American classic about the line between restraint and desire. A group of women preparing for a picnic meet a handsome young drifter named Hal whose combination of uncouth manners and titillating charm sends the women reeling, especially the beautiful Madge. “Picnic” is playing at the American Airlines Theater.

Tuesday, June 05, 2012
Mare Winningham and Jeff Perry talk about their roles in the 2010 Olivier Award-nominated play “Tribes,” which follows Billy, a deaf man raised inside his parents’ fiercely idiosyncratic and unrepentantly politically incorrect home. Then he meets Sylvia, a young woman on the brink of deafness, and he finally understands what it means to be understood. “Tribes” is playing at the Barrow Street Theatre through September 2.
