Jonathan Glater came to the New York Times almost four years ago in a misguided effort to make more money than he earned as a lawyer at a Wall Street firm. He came to New York in 1999 near the height of the go-go/Camelot years, after spending a year at a law firm in Buenos Aires. Before entering the legal profession he was a reporter at the Washington Post. He has spent most of his life in cities within the Northeast Corridor, growing up in Boston and attending college in Philadelphia. He likes good food and does not get to visit tropical beaches nearly as often as he would like.
