Barbara Buhler Lynes is the Emily Fisher Landau Director of The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum Research Center and Curator of The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, Santa Fe, New Mexico. She holds doctoral degrees in art history and French literature, and taught as a professor of art history from 1978 through 1997. Her numerous publications include Maria Chabot/Georgia O’Keeffe: Correspondence, 1941-49; Georgia O'Keeffe: Catalogue Raisonne; and O'Keeffe: Stieglitz and the Critics, 1916-1929, as well as numerous essays in various books and exhibition catalogues. She also co-founded the Catalogue Raisonne Scholars Association, and serves on various museum and advisory boards.
