Downloading the WNYC Mobile App
The WNYC Mobile App is currently available for iOS in the iTunes App Store and Android in the Google Play Store.
To download the app to your iPhone or iPad:
- Make sure you're connected to the internet.
- Open the App Store.
- In the search bar in the top right, search for WNYC.
- Under iPhone only apps, you should see the WNYC app. Click the FREE button.
- The FREE button should turn into an INSTALL button. Click the INSTALL button. (If you're asked for a password, use the one associated with your iTunes account.)
- The WNYC app will begin downloading to your device. Once it's done, open and listen!
To download the app to your Android phone:
- Make sure you're connected to the internet.
- Open the Play Store.
- Click on the magnifying glass and search for WNYC.
- Under apps, you should see the WNYC app. Click on it.
- This should take you to a page about this app. Click the Install button. Your phone will let you know what data the app can access on your phone. Click the Accept & download button if you accept these conditions.
- The WNYC app will begin downloading to your device. Once it's done, click open and listen!
Listening to WNYC
Once you've downloaded the WNYC Mobile App, you can listen to a live stream of 93.9 FM WNYC directly from your device.
To listen to WNYC, click the big play button beside the name of the stream.
News and Blog Entries from WNYC.org
Continue listening as you explore the latest news, features, and blog posts from WNYC.org on the Home screen of the app. To expand the radio player by clicking on the grey status bar at the bottom. To collapse the radio player by clicking on the downward narrow icon at top left corner.
Favorite Show
Click on the menu icon at the top left corner and going to the Shows section. Scroll down to explore all the shows. You can always save your favorite shows by clicking on the star icon on the right side of the show. Click on the menu icon at the top left corner， you will find the shows in Favorite Shows section.
On-Demand Programs
To listen to any of our archived episodes, start by clicking on the menu icon at the top left corner and going to the Shows section. Scroll down to explore which programs are available for on-demand streaming. Click on the show you'd like to hear. Once you're on the page for the show, click on the most recent episode to listen or scroll through the archive to find past episodes.
Saved Audio
On the page of any show, click on the downward narrow on the right side of the episode to see the info of the episode, share the episode and save the episode. You can find the saved episodes in Saved Audio section by click on the menu icon at the top left corner.
Donate to WNYC
Our app features an easy-to-use, simplified mobile pledge form. Choose a dollar amount of either monthly or one time contribution, fill out a few personal details, and you're good to go!

Click on the menu icon at the top left corner, and go to Feedback section. You can help us in two ways:
- Post your ideas for improvements or bug reports in our forum.
- Vote for any idea that you agree with. This will help us identify the ideas that are most important to our users.
