Friday, May 6, 2011

The NAMD  Forum will examine the “Future of Black Advertising “ and  the impact of new media technology, evolving social media tools, mobile advertising strategies ,cross platform media placement, and companies who provide marketing budgets targeting Black consumers.

The National Association of Market Developers (NAMD) was launched in 1953 at Tennessee State University by Moss Kendrix. According to Moss Kendrix, Jr., the association was viewed by his father as a support group for minorities in the public relations field. The association is still in operation today.

The NAMD mission is to develop and foster business growth for African-Americans and other ethnic groups by serving as a conduit for learning, teaching and networking for success. They seek to cultivate those aspects of the Black experience that can produce results for it's constituency, community and institutions, both private and public.
