Clearing Up

Feet unwavering,
the sky above me
is a vibrant blue
that stares deep
into the stairs
ascending from
my beating heart.
Clouds like an
animated image,
so clear and sharp
that I swear
I’m dreaming.
Cause it certainly
can’t be real,
with the air so
fresh in lungs
that haven’t
breathed like
this in years.
