The Feel of Summer

I am surrounded by summer sunlight
streaming from every direction
It feels as if I am one with the green
grass, the blue sky, and the chirping
birds
I can hear nothing other than the sounds
of summer
And I hear nothing other than its
inviting embrace
I am comforted by the many sounds
of summer
Yet I know summer only lasts for a
season
And when summer is gone
so is my comfort
