For this one I used only the provided elements. First, with the same hand I colorized for my previous submission, "New Holy Trinity" and the man I colored by the same process described in the notes of that piece. For his suit and hat I adjust color, hue and saturation until I had what I wanted. The tie is made composed of one of the leaves with it's hue and saturation adapted. I choose the path for a background and began heightening the contrast while lowering the saturation to all of the elements in turns until I had a balance. I added the butterfly early on but later added the bird to echo the subtle tension of the possibility that the butterfly and bird may take off at any moment or movement by the man.
