I started off by building on my most recent photoshop piece, "Michelangelo's Creation of Batman" and added the image of the hand. I created three tinted layers of the hand in Blue, yellow and pink. Then using a light eraser I began slowly removing from the blue layer and a little from the yellow layer so as to capture the sense of veins and calluses.
Next I brought in the sky, upping the brightness and blowing out the contrast so as to compliment the colors of the foreground. It needed a better hill to replace the one int the painting and transition to the sky more smoothly. Finally I used the leaves to build a pattern to cover an awkward element of the original painting where an are appears cropped off.
All together I call it "New Holy Trinity"
