The BQE Financial Soundness Indicator (BQEFSI)

I recently noticed a surge in the number of vacant billboards on the BQE. On a recent drive from the Queens border to the Verazzano, I took pictures of all the vacant billboards and postulated a theory/metric by which one can correlate the ratio of vacant signs per mile to the soundness of the US Economy.
