NYC DOHMH surcharges

Public Health Solutions - HIV Care Services (healthsolutions.org)manages (for NYC DOHMH) the contracts that local not-for-profits receive to provide HIV services in the community. The money originates from the federal Ryan White Care Act. This month, community-based contract agency representatives were invited to a meeting to review crucial year-end contract close-out procedures for performance-based contracts. We were charged $75 a head to attend a meeting that was dubbed a "training" but was really part of the ordinary Public Health Solutions responsibility to its contract agencies. The community organizations were informed that NYC DOHMH no longer allows PHS to offer "trainings" to its contract agencies. The trainer told us it is because each contract manager has too big a case load to properly oversee and respond to each agency. Maybe Beth Fertig or Bob Henley can look into this mess. Thanks.
