As part of our celebration of high school bands, we want to see the photo that captures your glory days as a high school rock star, whether you favored grunge, emo, hip-hop, or something in between — the more self-consciously cool, the better.

Yukon, 2012
I am yukon. I am 18, but all my recorded work at the moment is from ages 14-17. I am currently working on new material for several different projects [mostly all just myself, but a variety of genres]. Yukon's sound is "lo-fi stupid annoying complaining sadness," if i had to put it into words, i suppose.

Wicked Itch, 1985
Wicked Itch is Boston based trio, formed in 1985, featuring three fifteen year old musicians from Winchester, Massachusetts at Winchester High School. Originally named "The Fiends" and then "The Wicked Fiends", Wicked Itch produced a few low budget basement tapes before adding Keyboard player Billy Lee and releasing Rock and Roll Freakshow, a self produced full length EP. The Album was recorded using a Tascam 4 track recorder in the "basement turned recording studio" of a members home. The tape was marketed with a grass roots sales campaign and was available by special order for five dollars. In between recording Demo tapes, Wicked Itch performed live in many venues in the suburban Boston area reaching out to audiences of all ages. They always shocked audiences by performing punk rock renditions of recent top 40 hits. Notable songs include: I Want Your Sex (George Michael), Party Train (The Gap Band), Voices Carry ('til Tuesday) and everyone's favorite, Fight for Your Right (Beastie Boys). Wicked Itch Disbanded in 1988 due to college and careers, but Seb and Johnny maintained a musical bond and were later members of "The Ghost of Tony Gold" which followed in the footsteps of 'til Tuesday and Gang Green by taking first place in WBCN's 1998 Rock 'n Roll Rumble. Today Seb, John and Brian still stay active in music, but have not played together as a trio in nearly twenty years. Two years ago, with the use of internet technology, a new song "Spend The Nitemare with me" written by Seb, was recorded by the original members.
