Comedian Patton Oswalt thinks that he and his circle of high school friends could be parsed into three different categories Zombies, Spaceships, and Wastelands that shaped their paths to adulthood, their careers, and their lives. Patton says he realizes now that he's a Wasteland...but what are you: a Zombie, a Spaceship, or a Wasteland? Take our survey.
Spaceship
I rule the family like a Klingon Captain.
Jason
Spaceship
I believe in the constant searching of new unexplored land-masses for settlement by a growing population, barely affected by war famine or disease.
Sam
Wasteland
I don't really know cause there should be a damn quiz.
Juliana
Spaceship
Being a Spaceship with occasional Wasteland adventures, I think these are the two groups which can switch back and forth. I think of
Zombies appear to be the most stuck in their ways.
Jake
Spaceship
I'm a geek, and I plan and Oswalt's a bastard for pointing out what hits close to home. (:>)
I guess it's all those Dungeons and Dragons and roleplaying games I played as a kid.
Brian
Zombie
I just read books, really. I don't wander far, I don't break anything, I lead a simple life.
Leda
Spaceship
I carry everything I need with me, always have. I confuse people with my "luggage" but always have that little thing that saves my day, at least.
Not a computer worker. A teacher. I work with small aliens every day and attempt to mold them into my idea of what people on this planet ought to be. I then go home to my little zone and hang out with my family. One is a zombie and one is a wasteland. How often does that happen?
Ariadne
Wasteland
I travel all over teaching people the things they will need to know to express themselves creatively after the coming cultural collapse. This includes everything from spinning and weaving to metal forming, to making all your own tools. What I find interesting is that I live with tow lovers, who each fall into one of the other categories. My zombie lover works at a university bookstore, more or less ignoring her coworkers, who do seem a bit undead themselves. Right now she is probably avoiding people by reading formula vampire novels. My spaceship lover never goes anywhere without 3l. of water, a day's worth of food, clothing for any possible conditions, and a backup plan. These differences create a little tension between the three of us, but they also lend our relationship an odd sort of stability. I wonder how common this is.
Bill.
